In theory, the cops shouldn't be able to get their hands on citizen's data without a search warrant because it's protected under the #4thAmendment. But, there are companies that make their money by selling our personal phone data to law enforcement. AND the cops pay for it using YOUR tax dollars.

You know that random block game you play on your phone? It's likely tracking your cell phone data in some way, and if they wanted to, they could legally sell your data to the cops. Some people say, if you aren't doing anything wrong, you shouldn't worry about it. Well, it's the basic right as a U.S. citizen to not be spied on by the cops, but they were so desperate to continue to spy on us, they found a loophole. This loophole is used by the same citizens' tax dollars when it could go to bettering our country. That should concern everyone!
