The White Walkers are supernatural beings, so they don't really need an explanation, but one way of looking at them is that they are the forces of nature personified - specifically winter.  They are also basically anti-life, pure destruction and chaos incarnate.  They make Littlefinger with his "chaos is a ladder" philosophy look like a wannabe.

man ive watch some reviews now and not many people seem to notice a very important thing, locke (the bolton dude who cut off jamies hand) is in castle black probably having a plan to kill jon and bran if he finds him, at season4 episode2 ramsay and roose bolton are talking about that bran and rickon are still alive and that jon might be a threat

there have been at least 1 possible female whitewater. the renegade former leader of the night watch from times past known as the night king was married to a woman who was said do you have eyes as blue as ice and skin as white as snow (the same description is used to descrive the White Walkers) it is also said that she had magical powers and converted him to worship of White Walkers. is not said what happened to her after the Lord stark killed the night king one must assume she is still alive

I wanted to do the marathon of GOT fter the season is over (the way i did with Banshee) but GOT is too exciting and cant control :(

I'm feelin afraid for Jon Snow in the next episode. We have th white walkers, the wildlings, the creepy crows in castemeere and now that creepy bolton dude (I hate the boltons!) coming after him^^ But it's too soon for him to die!!! He is to handsome! and it would be also to soon for Bran, Bran is on a mission, so I do not thing that he will die.. Oh I'm feeling bad for Jon, I'm really scared now:o
