Whoever expected Stannis to show up clearly didn't read the books. I, for one, am glad they didn't shift his arrival to the first night and take all the shine away from the Night's Watch.

Bah, from what it looks like, they're gonna make Brienne fight the Hound and probably defeat him, possibly because he's handicapped due to his festering wound. Brienne is the luckiest wench in Westeros, meeting some of the best swordsmen of the realm when they're at their weakest.

Jon Targaryen.

The books are filled with ironies about Jon's lineage. In the first book, when Joffrey wants to duel Jon, someone says it's inappropriate for a bastard to duel with a prince. In reality, the bastard is Joffrey, and the prince is Jon.
 Melisandre looks into the fire to see the prophesied one Azor Ahai (who she mistakenly believes is Stannis), all she sees is Snow, with a capital "S."
