Notes for myself

- prepare beforehand
- Plan exactly what u want to study
- 3 steps:
1. Most important: foundation core
2. Secondary: context and conmects to the core
3. Nice to know: when you have time to get a deeper level of understanding and have a more well rounded knowledge 😊

I completely agree with the “knowing what you are going to do” before starting studying. This was a problem I had and I didn’t realize it for a while, but I would procrastinate on starting certain subjects simply because I didn’t know what I was going to study to improve. And even when I started I’d spend time just fingering out what I needed to do to study. Meanwhile, if I have a specific study plan like “write hiragana characters three times each” it became much easier to begin because I knew exactly where to begin and end.

1. Most Important - core concepts and skills that form the foundation
2. Secondary - connected to the core that provides context to your understanding
3. Nice to Knows - extra interesting facts and details
3. Make a plan
- Identify resources (YT, books, practice problems)
- Follow priorities as the study order
4. Execute (stick to the plan)

Verbalizing your study goals is a really good tip. I think it'll spare you from studying mindlessly for hours. If you have a goal, you have direction, and if you have direction, you can optimize retention because you'll be more efficient and less prone to studying low-yield/irrelevant material.This surely shortens study time and saves energy. Hope you drop more study gems like this.

I'm from India and the education system here is similarly as hard as in China (both are extremely toxic) . Can you PLEASE make a video on how to analyse you past year test papers to get better grades ❤

Wow this actually made me realize how I could really use the syllabus provided by my professors, which has all the objectives/goals mentioned alongside the syllabus and resources. I'd love to see how you worked with previously solved problems (like past paper Qs and assignments/homework) in the last step. Thanks!! <3
PS: Can I please know what platform you used while explaining the example?? It looked really cool, and could help me study database management systems really well :)

I'm currently failing physics, but I think it's because the workload is soooo overwhelming, and the test questions are way harder than what we learn in class. This is a great video that showed my procrastinating self exactly what I need to do. But I think my step 1 will most probably be not to spend 40 mins on planning 😂😂 thanks!!❤❤

I usually get easily distracted, and here is something I learned from myself:
so usually when I’m doing homework, I have my phone next to me and when I don’t get something I search it up instead of actually trying, so I recommend putting your phone somewhere far away and doing your work, and just trusting yourself because ur brain is very complex and you everything you know is in your brain, so if you try hard enough you can figure it out.

if you're going to a new grade next year (primary/secondary/jc) : pay attention at all costs. its better to know the fundamental at the start then stress up in finals
