Diamond DA50 RG U.S. Tour at KLGB First Look 08SEP2023

The Diamond DA50 RG is a single-engine piston aircraft developed by Diamond Aircraft. A variant of the 2007 Diamond DA50, this plane first flew in October 2019 and received EASA certification in September 2020.

Powered by the Continental CD-300 engine with 300 hp, the Diamond DA50 RG can travel at up to 181 knots at a service ceiling of 20,000 feet. The engine is powered by two full FADEC systems, and a single-lever power control adjusts thrust and propeller RPM to reduce pilot workload. The DA50 RG offers various features, including retractable landing gear, a carbon-fiber airframe, and LED lighting. Passengers can fly comfortably with large gull-wing doors and a spacious cabin with extensive leg, shoulder, and headroom. In the cockpit, pilots can enjoy the options of a removable right-side control stick, an oxygen system, electric air conditioning, TKS deicing, and a Garmin GCU 476 keypad. The panel includes a Garmin G1000 NXi flight deck with GFC 700 Automated Flight Control.
