When I bought studio 17 w/ the speed editor. I was like “that’s cool, basically a free lil keyboard doohicky”! It arrived and I luckily found your content, now I’m like “praise all the gods this is much faster and precise”. As a newbie it allows me to focus on learning other tabs and features....I’m grateful for your

In the middle of a big edit and love bouncing on to your videos every now and again to make sure I'm getting the most from my speed editor. Always come away with at least 3 new learnings. Totally didn't know about the cam1, 2 and 3 buttons selecting layers and think I finally understand the slip function after I don't know how long :-D Thanks Chadwick!

Thanks so much for this, Chadwick! I just purchased a speed editor and your clear and concise tutorials are guiding me through the learning curve. I do have one frustration in that I’m running Davinci Studio 19.01 and I don’t seem to have the “audio trim” button which you point out in this video and seems like a great feature. All I seem to have in that space where I would expect to find the button are “ripple on, ” “split clip, ” and “add marker.” As a relative newbie to DaVinci, maybe you, or any of your viewers, can help me figure out why I’m not seeing that button. Thanks!

Great info! My copy of Studio with the Speed Editor was on backorder for months, and I finally got it on Friday! I sat down to get started, and immediately realized I had no idea what I was doing with this new device. Great information, really helped me understand how to use it, especially the Slip feature which I had never used before.

Thanks for another video Chadwick. Short and sweat. I’m finding the speed editor has a lot of nuance - so your videos are a great help. When you get used to the different trim functions - it really helps you get what you want. Steve

Apparently, I watched this before, but without paying adequate attention. I apologize. Your pace was excellent. Video length excellent. Clarity, my most important measure, was excellent.

I created a new saved Speed Editor playlist since I want to be able to find this and similar videos for rewatching.

Thank you.

I'm shooting and editing videos very causally, like every few weeks/months. As a result, I keep forgetting what SE can do or even how to use it properly so that it does not slow me down as opposed to using mouse in the Edit Page. Your tutorials are possibly best ones I've seen for Speed Editor so far.

Awesome video! Thanks, Chadwick. I've had the Speed editor about a month and a half but have yet to fully tap its potential.

Great focus! Thank You Chad! I have realized this fast logic to remember the various edits key:
- the Upper line edit section trim and move Edit Points
- the Lower line (slip source and destination) slip the Content
