One of the easiest ways to increase your bench press is to fix your floppy wrists. Bench pressing with your wrists bent back creates an ‘’energy leak’’ which reduces the force transfer from the upper body to the bar. Avoid this by actively squeezing the bar and letting it sit in the base of your hands.

Who allows their wrist to bounce like that with any significant amount of weight? You can bench either way but I prefer thumb under the bar.
