“So that the beans can drink more water” is such a cute way of saying that!

I grow the smaller sprouts, like alfalfa, but I was just wondering yesterday how to do mung beans. Thanks so much!

This also works for lentils! I soaked some to cook with them easier and lost the container in the car for a day or two- they didn’t rot and all sprouted beautifully!! The sprouts were sweet and so crisp

Moong is what we Indians eat so frequently
U can simply soak it in a bowl or something overnight and drain the water in the morning
Easy!😊

Omg I will have to try it! Reminds me of Creed from The Office… “I sprout mung beans on a damp paper towel in my desk drawer. Very nutritious. But they smell like death.” 😂

I did it a couple of time but used a different technique ( I make them grow in a glass jar, heads down with a tissu so it can breath and leave it to the sun, with water one time a day. But I will try your technique for sure ! Thank you 🙏 bisous de France

This is a great idea to use an old container. I've tried a glass jar but your method is much easier. Thank you ❤

Germinating soybeans is easy, the difficult and tedious thing is removing the skin of the seed from the sprouts! Thank you for teaching me another method to germinate bean sprouts, I do it with a glass jar and a potato net 😂😂

In India we just put in a cloth, wash daily and 2-3 days its done. Even if you put with water in any container it will grow

We've been doing this for 30 years, including with radish seeds and cress for a delicious salad, but not in tetrapak but in jars...

Thanks, I appreciate this. Given your focus on cross cultural phenomena, I enjoy stuff like this. Especially how useful this is. 😊
