I'd consider this -if it weren't limited to a very low 50w/ bulb.

Here is a better way, i have the same light and also the 9 light model, yes with them fluorescent light bulbs they get hot, How ever the solution to this is do what i did and you get more light too.
go to home Depot and buy EcoSmart 100W Equivalent Daylight 2 pack for $14.00
Now these are LED and they are EcoSmart 100W Equivalent, they don't get HOT at all in fact i had my lights on for over 3 hours strait and when i was done i was able to touch the bulbs with my hand right away and it was just warm not HOT at all, , with fluorescent light bulbs though they get 20 times hotter then the LED ones..
So you can enclose these lights no problem what so ever and they never get hot i use these a lot and run them for a few hours strait and they work great not only that.
