Great video and instructions. A lot of us have been trying to find information on this board, as it seems to be one of the best solutions for the Pi shortage. BTT has really upped their game with the new boards and this mounting on it. That would be another good review

Thanks man I have had my setup for about 3 weeks now and I could not get it going for the life of me. This clip helped me so much, I can't stress everyone needs to use note++ no other substitute will get the job done.

Thank you!

I’ve been looking into Rpi alternatives and CB1, but there were almost no videos on it, I’m glad you made this video!

It’s funny cause Teaching Tech made a video yesterday also on this! ❤️

Just picked one of these up and the guide's great! Just note that if you're using the CB1 your ribbon cable based raspberry pi camera / Klipper screens won't work since CSI & DSI are both not supported... Realized a bit too late but hey at least USB cameras are supported!

What revision of the CB1 has pin issues? Thanks!

can you confirm the following? "The version of MANTA M8P currently on sale without Max31865 cannot directly use the PT100 function. If users need to use this function, they can DIY stick Max31865. We reserve the patch position. At the same time, you can also look forward to the subsequent release of the version with 31865."

I really like your videos and how you go step by step. I have the BTT Pi 1.2 and can not get it to boot or connect to wifi or ethernet any ideas what i am doing wrong. I have tried multiple sd cars as well as the raspberry pi os installer and the etcher os flasher and have had no luck any help would be great

Followed every step for my Ender 3 V2 but I’m getting the same MCU error you had right at the end. My ID matches but it says it can’t connect. Was there an additional step to fix this issue? Thank you and thanks for the great pi alternative!

Just picked up a manta m8p v1.0 and first power up stepper slot number 7 instantly up in flames. my kit also came with half btt tmc2209 v1.2 and the other half btt tmc 2209 v1.3. the manta m8p was a replacement for a btt skr 1.4 turbo that the lpc1769 burnt out at the rated 24v. Not having the best of luck with btt.

Thank you, it makes no sense to get a pi for a entry level printer these days, this is a great option

I reckon if they make a CB2 it would be pretty awesome, especially with their manta. It does seem a little wasteful to throw a whole SBC at each printer.

Possible WIFI Fix ?
I noticed that if I use the update manager in Mainsail and update all the programs then my CB1 will begin to disconnect from wifi every 10-20mins. If I redo the process for the CB1 and do not update anything in Mainsail then I have a solid wifi connection for days. I still have not pinpointed which program exactly to avoid updating that causes the issue.

My mainsail dashboard does not have any of the printer controls like yours showed at the end of the video. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

That's not a stick pad, it's a thermal pad. You need to use it to have proper thermal transfer even when using the screws.

I just got a BTT Klipper Pi and find that their RTL8189 wifi only supports 802.11n with WPA2 and TKIP encryption. You have to go to your wireless router and set it to this less secure mode of operation to accomodate this chip. That means try a USB wifi stick instead.

(the pad is *not* sticky, it is a thermal pad, it does not stick, in fact it does not stick to the point where you have to be careful taking the heatsink off as it will fall off the heatsink)

How do you change the password from BIQU? The standard raspberry pi method does not seem to work.
