Hi, my I-94 will expired on 15 days. I was working on applying for school and change my visa B-2 to F-1. My school does not help me with paperwork, so I am doing it by myself. I have been readying a lot and noticed that it’s better to apply for my B-2 extension first and then for my F-1? I was planning to file both applications at the same time. But, I noticed the processing times for both process are between 7-9 month and the F-1 can it be approved if I don’t have a status is that true? Also, if I need to file first for an extension of my visa knowing I am going to apply for my change of status, what I need to say on my affidavit that I want to stay for? I cannot say I want the extension because I want to travel. I need help URGENT! I appreciate your time.
