Took me a minute and scrolling through comments to get this to work, I was also trying to extend the top but ended up doing top and sides to keep original dimensions for the most part. You need to tell people to unlock their background layer and make sure they are in an 8 bit RGB channel- won't get option for Content-Aware Scale if not. Worked great for me! Btw, I have the newest PS version but everyone should have these basic tools and options.

Which version of photoshop did you use in achieving this because my 2019cc Adobe Photoshop can't achieve it.
Firstly it doesn't crop only the left hand side and the right hand side. But it crops the four angles ..
So I would like to know which of the versions you used.
Thank you

it won't let me select subject, i don't have that option... which version of photoshop is this for?

There is actually an easier way - when cropping, just select "Content Aware Fill" and it does everything automatically.

Will you do a guide on reflection in water? e.g. take a photo of the car from the side (so that you are standing in front of the lamp) and make a reflection

hi, thanks!! the content aware button is unavailable... also- how do you keep your background transparent?

Great video, but for some reason it keeps distorting the subject when I extend the background even when the subjects are protected. HELP!
