I’d like to see a movie about this, but Hollywood would ruin it.

SABATON has a killer song/video about them called "Night Witches", highly reccomended. These women had to do bombing runs in wooden planes in the dead at night by cutting their engines and gliding in super low, low enough the Germans could apparently hear them laughing, hence the nickname Night Witch

My father was in WW2, He crossed the Elbe River, where they met the Russian Army.
He said the Russian women where as tough as the men.

The commanding officer of these women, also their daytime counterparts, is someone that should be remembered as well. The commandant served in the military for like two decades or so and then retired, but the cool/sad thing is she went looking for and found every plane that had crashed during the war.

See!! We should play these women's campaigns in video games. There are so many real stories that are more exciting than the fake garbage we play now.

Sadly, they were left out of the Victory Parade in Moscow after the German defeat.

I'd love to see a movie about them.

Never knew of the Nacht Hexen until I visited Monino Museum in 1993...where they had 2 Po-2 in Night Witch colours. They perfected the glide bombing at night. These were open cockpit Bi-Planes in sub zero temperatures. They were slow flimsy wood and ganric...but were a huge thorn in the side to the Germans

Keep underestimating what a real woman can and will do.

In Everett Wa at pane field airport, there is a working bi-plane that was actually flown in ww2. Called the flying heritage museum, most of the planes are kept in operable condition. I got to see one of these ones fly. It was demonstrated how they would turn off engines and glide over targets silently to bomb them. Absolutely terrifying demonstration when you understood what that silence meant. 40 feet off the ground there was 0 sound coming from it.

Самое главное что это девушки 17-25 лет с маленьких городов с рабочих семей которые на бесплатной основе учились управлять гражданским самолётом. Это в 1930 года ...

In the book “Night Witches” a captured German ace asks to meet the pilot who shot him down. When a woman is brought before him he assumes the Russians are having a laugh at his expense.

Some of the planes still had crop dusting equipment attached when turned over to the Night Witches. And it wasn't just the pilots the ground crews were all female too.

I’ve heard that they were both undetected AND unexpected
