Yes - Feels like it takes forever!

I was induced at 36 weeks (first baby) and I was in the labor room for 26 hours before giving birth. It took my body long to dilate to just 5cm… literally 24 hours (ish). Then they scared me with the thought of having a cesarean… and I dilated right to 10cm 😂 It was crazy… But, throughout our time there, we got so much REST!

You might also have a quick induction - mine was 3hrs, some friends of mine were <10hr inductions. I think where your body is at/how close to labour you were must help so much, but it isn't always a horrible endurance event ❤️ there is hope! I was terrified of induction because I only had heard horrible stories so I always want to put the other side out there, it can be an awesome birth still

If I know I’m going to be induced at 39 weeks are there things I can do to start or induce labor like the week off to ensure on the day I’m induced I’m somewhat ready and it won’t be a long process?

See this is what I’m worried about
I’m being induced at 37 weeks due to sudden onset preeclampsia
I’m so afraid that this will take forever. I have a 3 year old at home that hasn’t spent more than a night at grandmas away from me 😭

Thank you for this video! I will be induced for my second child and was wondering about the pain level. I would like to have a natural birth, but with all the horror stories....I don't know 😢

I was induced at 41 weeks and had my baby four days ago. The worst part for me is the intensity of the contractions that happen with Pitosin.

I only finally gave in to the epidural because the painful contractions from the induction drug ptosin was so so so intense - I couldn’t take it.

After the ptosin and with an epidural I was fine and went to sleep for a while woke up a few hours later pushed for about ten mins and had my baby. It was honestly all because of the epidural I was able to say my birth experience wasn’t horrendous.
