Ooh, thank you for this video - I have written down a number of these to keep an eye out for.

I have had a pretty great start to my 2021 reading year and can highly recommend 3 of them: A Burning (1st Feb release), We Are All Birds of Uganda (21st Jan release) and Brown Baby (4th Feb release) - each of these has brought me something new and I still think about each of them every day. I really hope your reading year has kicked off brilliantly!

I learnt more about independent publishers from watching your channel and subscribed to Tilted Axis for this year in December. Quite excited to receive the books - I’m especially looking forward to the novel by Geetanjali Sree about the Indian partition

Big thanks from Istanbul! This is just what I needed. We don't have much choices of books in the English language. I totally rely on book recommendations to purchase online the books I think I may be interested in. This is so very helpful!

I loved The Beauty but sort of lost track of Aliya Whiteley after that, so I'm very glad you mentioned her two forthcoming books! I checked and one of my libraries has Skyward Inn on order, so I'll be checking that out ASAP.

I'm not really in the loop regarding new releases, I'm mostly just waiting for a few paperbacks: Summer by Ali Smith, Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi, Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell, The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett and The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Thanks for this. Already I look forward to Fifty Sounds by Polly Barton and The Child by Kjersti A Skomsvold: these writers are new names, but I know they will interest me, just from your words. I shall return to your book blog again, and visit earlier posts.

Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to 3 books in particular! "Last night at the telegraph club" by Malindo Lo, "One Last Stop" by Casey McQuiston, and "Reputation" by Lex Croucher. Queerness, history, and time travel; all the things I love.
