I'm sooo stressed about "Sunrise on the Reaping". I love the original trilogy so much and of course I'm excited for everything Suzanne Collins comes out with but I'm nervous as well.

I saw Hannah posted, left everything i was doing and came to watch. I have priorities ✌️

Your nerves are definitely understandable for the new Hunger Games book, I’m always so weary when a new book is announced in a “finished” trilogy. I actually still haven’t read Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes because of this. I have faith in Suzanne Collins though, I hope that it’s good 😭

My most anticipated release is probably Katabasis by RF Kuang, it sounds so good! Also excited for the new Emily Henry and Taylor Jenkins Reid 📚

The Dark Mirror by Samantha Shannon comes out February 25th and is a book series that I won’t shut up about. I got to read an ARC of the book and it was absolutely fantastic, it is also the 5th instalment of a 7-book series called The Bone Season which I highly recommend you give a go. Especially now that the first 4 (mostly first 3) books were revised in the past year and it’s improved massively.

Hi Hannah just wanted to thank you for being SUCH a comfort to me. I always turn to your videos when I’m feeling low.

I’m also nervous about Sunrise on the Reaping, but I was nervous for Ballad and ALSO didn’t read it for two years but loved it so I don’t know anymore 😂

i'm excited for the next Cassandra Clare's book, The Ragpicker King, as always. Even though I haven't had the time to read the first book yet because of uni, I hope to read the first and second book then back to back next year

RF Kuang has ‘Kata Basis’ coming out next year, the one about two uni students travelling to the underworld to save their professor. Sounds cool.

I'm excited about The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig, Scythe & Sparrow (The Ruinous Love Trilogy 3), I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming, A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young, Katabasis by R.F Quang, The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst, A Drop of Corruption by Robert J. Bennett, The Bane Witch by Eva Morgyn but most of all I'm excited about Eowyn Ivey's Black Woods, Blue Sky. I'm a huge fan of her novel The Snow Child and I can't wait to read her next novel. I've already read some great reviews about her upcoming book so the anticipation is killing me.

I am so with you on Sunrise on the Reaping. I am excited for it and at the same time scared. I really hope it is going to turn out to be the prequel we hope for.

This next year is honestly huge for fantasy. So many big name authors are having releases that it’s almost hard to keep track of.

Basically no matter what group or niche of fantasy someone likes, something is coming out: VE Schwab, Joe Abercrombie, Brandon Sanderson, Guy Gavriel Kay, R.F. Kuang, James Islington, Martha Wells, Amal El-Mohtar, Heather Fawcett, Rebecca Yarros, so on and so on. People could reply with many names I didn’t mention and triple this list

Great video! I will check out a couple of these. Water Moon sounds so interesting. My most anticipated books for next year are My Friends by Fredrik Backman and Home of the American Circus by Allison Larkin.

I feel that for people who have a certain genre or two that they primarily stick to, some years would have more exciting stuff coming out that suits their taste than others.

I don't know how Hannah does it, but every time I have a bad day, there's a new video uploaded for me to eat my dinner with! This has also made me very excited for all the books I can read in the new year
