What Not To Do During Your #mcatprep

Don’t fall into these common MCAT prep traps with tips from Blueprint MCAT student Tyra!

1️⃣ Don’t try to relearn all the science material from your classes—you probably only need certain topics! 🧪✨ Know what’s tested, and don’t dive into the weeds with details that won’t appear on the exam.

2️⃣ Don’t linger on modules you like or are already good at! 🚀 Sure, they make you feel like a genius, but it’s not helping. Move on and tackle the harder stuff. Practice questions will cover the material you know! 💯

3️⃣ Don’t take notes while the video is playing. 🎥✏️ Chances are, you’re missing key details while writing down headings. Pause the video, jot things down, and really absorb that knowledge!

4️⃣ Don’t just watch a video or skim a chapter and assume you’ve got it. 🤓🙅‍♀️ Use active learning—practice questions, flashcards, and other interactive tools to really test what you know!
