I was married to a Haitian for 25 years. (passed away in January) He would cook conch and make a red sauce on it. I love it, (I love all Haitian food). It is so expensive here though. I want to cook it, but the price is ridiculous here. (Atlanta, Georgia). My step daughter and her mom are the best cooks. I can eat their food all day, everyday. I am going to watch this video over and over until I learn how to properly cook it.

Hey there, Greetings from a Dominican here, didn't know you also called it Lambi in Haiti, good to know that we share the same name for such an amazing sea food.

My family and myself love conch !! We live in Michigan. Any of our past vacations to any Caribbean island i made sure i ate conch 3 times a day for the whole week . In the Bahamas i ate conch chowder for breakfast, lunch and dinner because i knew i would not get it for a very long time. When we went to St. Kitts i only had it prepared cold in a salad of some kind it was kinda tuff n chewy but so good . And when i got married to my husband years ago on St. Thomas we ate it every day for 2 weeks, also in a chowder, but not as good as in the Bahamas . While in Florida { Key West ] we had conch fritters . I so wish i could get it here in Michigan . I now know how to clean it thanks to you and I'll be waiting for how you prepare yours . TY so much for this great informative video . I love ur channel n thumbs up !!! have a great week .

thank you for making a separate video on how to properly clean and cut conch. I appreciate it because my grandmother always says that the cleaning and the cutting of the conch can be difficult if you don't know how to do it. She says that the cleaning and the cutting of the conch has to be done well even before you cook it because the flesh of the conch is tougher than many other kinds of seafood. I am also glad that you used a pressure cooker to cook the lambi. Overall, this video makes me feel more confident that I can make the recipe. Thanks again!

I actually don't use lime, or vinegar when cleaning it, becomes it makes the meat rougher. I add baking soda and let it soak in water, that removes the fishy smell.

Lamise good job as always...When I was in Haiti my grandma used to say that conch was supposed to be cleaned with zoranj su not lime because it gonna make it hard n elastic...did you experience it since I see you clean it with lime...? Plz let me know what you think. N very good job, I will not say I cook the same way yo do...I’ll say we are twins instead...🤣God bless you♥️

Saying to cut out the dark parts & to you it should be "all white" sounds so racist! I know exactly what you mean tho, as when all the skin is taken off, the flesh is completely white. The skin is even tougher & takes even longer to cook.
