Thank you for this video - obviously there are people on here complaining that it's tips they already knew - forgetting that there are other people in this world besides them that do appreciate your tips since we have never attempted using power tools for basic small jobs.
Now I dont have to worry about mishandling a circular saw - you saved my fingers👍

I just can't believe how so many of viewers can miss the point! Of course you can use a high end tool and blade, That's not the point, this man is teaching valuable tricks for those of us that have to work what we got and sometimes improvise. Thank you my good man, your effort in educating others is very much appreciated.

For people who don’t have many tools, but a jigsaw is one of them, this makes it more versatile. (Also check the different types of blades available.)
Always good to know the different ways you can modify the performance of all your tools. And often times the modifications are, like these, fairly simple.

Boy, everybody’s a critic, aren’t they?
Well I always say, “Proper blade, or not. Sometimes you gotta work with what you got.” And so, with that I say, thanks for sharing! Taught me a new trick. Much oblige!

I like that you've showed us many different ways, so anyone could choose his favorite way to solve the problem! Great job and thank you.

I use this tape trick all the time as a guitar builder. It keeps new router openings from tearing out, if I'm drilling holes for a bridge it will keep the finish from flaking out, and it provides a great location for guide markings. Draw lines, crosshairs, or tape on the guitar, tape on the template, and then a quick spray of contact adhesive on the template tape, press the template in place, and it will stay in place much easier with less clamping force.

I was familiar with most of these jigsaw tios and tricks but i can't believe I've never thought of doing a zero clearance base plate! Absolutely genius!

Ignore the critics (who generally don't produce videos backing up their criticism), you taught me something today. I have a top-end tracksaw and, despite the correct TPI blade, still get some tearout on ply. So I'll be thinking about what I learned here today.
Thanks.

I just use the right blade for the cut and material. Clean everytime. Using the right blade for the job goes a very long way.

Thank you. I have a utility door to cut in half so I can access the top part easier. Was very worried about the chipping and mess etc. Your help has now made it possible. Thank you!

All these tricks actually show that the tool is not good enough to have a clean cut on its own. Thanks for the video sir!

I only use my jigsaw for curved cuts. I’m fortunate to have a miter and table saw. The best part of this vid was the zero clearance adapter. I’ll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks!

Helpful video. Thank you. Spending the time to show us the results side by side and demonstrating each method is excellent format. As mentioned in comments, it would also be helpful to show a finer blade as well as different cut settings on the jigsaw, but not necessary. We can figure that out and what you donstrated was how to deal with lack of blade and tool options. Liked and subscribed!
