One of my favorite animated movies. It had a great message and I love the moody visuals.

Coraline always made me feel so grim after watching it.. Not because of the other world but because Coraline's actual life seems so trapped and dreary even away from the house

there’s a lot of foreshadowing and symbolism in the movie.. if you blink you’ll miss it.

Here are some other facts -:

The door of the other world actually has a spider print on it if you look closely at it.
When the other mother asked to play hide and seek in the rain, the lightening was shaped like her hands at the end of the movie.
When Coraline was first put to bed in the other world, the frames on the wall are just like the three ghost children the other mother ate.
Coraline’s other mother didn’t eat any of the food she made for Coraline but later in the movie, we found out that she did eat, but what she ate were spiders, beetles, aka insects.
When the other father played that song, he seemed to be giving Coraline a hint about what was going to happen to her: *She’s a doll. She’s cute as a button. Our eyes will be on Coraline.*
Her name actually was a mistake. It was supposed to be Caroline, but a mistake made it Coraline.

Her hair wasn’t always blue. Sometime ago, it was brown like her mother and father’s.
Edit 1: OKAY, stop saying that I got all these from another video. I got only the last one from screenrant. I got the rest of them myself. No hate tho :)
Edit 2: OMG GUYS!! Thanks so much for 1K likes. It’s the most I’ve ever gotten. Love ya!
Edit 3: 1.2K likes!! GUYZ YOU’RE DA ABSOLUTE BEST!
Edit 4: Ok, so many of you ask how I knew her name was a mistake. If you read the introduction of the book, it says that Neil Gaiman was originally supposed to make her name Caroline but it came out different as a mistake on the computer as “Coraline”. But he kept it Coraline because he liked it better.
Edit 5: Thanks for 3K likes guys! :3
Edit 6 (yea cuz i have nothing to do): ty for 4.5K likes!

You know, it’s also interesting that the gardening machine is a praying mantis, an insect species known for partaking in cannibalism of its family members.
