Hi everyone, it's great to be back! Now that I'm learning 'how to do YouTube' from the experts at Changer Studio (thanks Screen Queensland for supporting this amazing program!) I'm excited to get more consistency in my videos and how I share them. I do have two channels, which makes it a little more tricky (I love my sourdough baking just as much as my soap making 🥰) but I'm working out a plan to share more regularly and predictably, even if it's not every week! (I've never been able to do that anyway 🙄). Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thanks so much for watching my videos and supporting me over the years. I hope all the newbies get some joy and encouragement from this video! And more to come next month... Ps. Make sure you check out the video description, the recipe link is there! 🧼💚 Have a great weekend! xx Elly

Aloha! Beginners out there: Have a go!! I've watched many of Elly's videos and, as a newby, I have made more than a handful of batches now. Out of those, only one was suspect, but it did eventually set itself up (patience). My family and friends are very impressed and they love the soap that has been gifted to them (different sizes, shapes, scents, colors). I also have a batch of liquid laundry soap (c/o Elly's recipe) that I am using downstairs in the laundry room, and a smaller container, a recycled ketchup squeeze bottle, in the upstairs bathroom for quick hand-wash items. Elly is a wonderful teacher! Go for it ~ Happily Hobby Soaping in Hawaii. 🤙PS. My 98 y/o Grandma saw the soap batches drying on the rack and said, "Good! Now we don't have to go to the store and buy, buy, buy." >> I'll take that as a Big Win 😀

Honestly, because of you, now my head-to-toe liquid and bar soaps as well as laundry detergent all use your recipes. I can't thank you enough. It's never too late. I'm 61 years of age and shifted into homemade soaps and detergent just 5 years ago. I'm getting more and more confident after watching your soap making videos. Cheers from your neighbor in Indonesia. 😇

I ❤ the spirit of Elly. Thank you for your selfless services to a community of soap making. When she shares a recipe, she gives her all, and you can sense it. She also states that if we can make it and she is a happy woman. That is pure. God bless your heart, Elly.

Aloha! 🤙Back again 4 weeks later. I used the milk carton idea as inspiration for my newest batch, currently saponifying overnight. Since Grandma gets Meals on Wheels delivered (senior meal service), there is always the school-lunch-size milk cartons available. I combined Elly's Shaker Honey-Castille recipe (Loved It > this time with turmeric infused olive oil) with the milk carton idea this afternoon. I have to keep reminding myself NOT TO PEEK! Since the Shaker Soap recipe is a small batch, I used 3 cartons (each a half-pint/8 fl oz/236 mL), and filled the cartons ~2/3 full (it's still a good sized bar; just right for Gram's grip). Tomorrow's going to be an exciting reveal 😁 Mahalo Elly for another wonderful idea!! 🤙

So happy to see back Elly, I made my 2 first soaps 2 years ago following your tutorials, and that's what my whole family loves to use these days. There is nothing like a simple, nice, plain bar of soap. Thank you for all you do!!

Dear Elly when I was starting to look into soaps 4 years ago I was petrified because I was not sure if I can do it. Your videos were the ones which gave me the confidence and necessary guidance to go for it and make my first batch of soap as well as my own essential oil blend for it. You are amazing. Thank you for everything from the bottom of my heart. Much love from Canada 🍁❤

After having a dream about making my own, I woke up and searched “soap making for beginners” and found this video. I watched it about 4 times over the course of a week while waiting for all the supplies to arrived from Amazon. This video made me feel so confident that I invited my fellow crafter best friend over and we made our first batch together. We followed the recipe exactly and our soap came out beautifully!!!! We used jasmine and honeysuckle scent from vinevida. They will be cured in time for Christmas! These will make wonderful gifts! I can’t thank you enough 🩷

You are such a beautiful teacher! I just want to thank you. I’m learning all I can from various YT videos and your video is the best because of your thorough explanations. I am certainly going to use your advice and I am making my first attempt at soap making. I will try to post a update on this here shortly. Thank you for your help ❤ oh and the soap bars look awesome with the slightly rounded sides as a result of the milk carton being flexible. Turned out to look really pretty!

Elly is great, I spent years trying to pluck up the courage to make some soap and her videos got me going! I started giving the soap to friends and family and work colleagues who are all encouraging me to start selling my soaps, so who know, maybe that will be my next step! Thank you Elly!

It is so lovely to go back to basics, as a refresher, and as an alternative choice to including all the wonderful clays, sugar, salt, sodium lactate etc. This makes a very quick soap making exercise, not only for BRILLIANT BEGINNERS; but also for when time is short, and some ingredients are scarce. You still get beautiful bars of soap to use, and share with others. Thank you Elly! 🐾🥰
