Absolutely amazing. I watched the unreal "tutorial" where they simply show you this with the kite demo, and offer no help with creating it. But here you are, you beautiful bastard.

Man you most certainly deserve more attention and views. I've been recently finding your videos a lifeline and the effort you put into them is so kind of you. Please continue these videos, myself and many others I'm sure are highly grateful!

Great tutorial. Everything you need to know to get your damn nature texture started, with no tiling and looking great, all in less than 30 minutes. Short and to the point.

Thanks!

Two minutes in and you confirmed what I figured. Instead of watching videos on materials best I find one I want to copy the attributes of, open it, and poke around until I can recreate what ever the desired effect is.

Currently making a master landscape material and although I can lump a bunch of textures into layers of one material and paint land different textures with that landscape material, adjust the various settings of basically everything about the material, I am struggling to make them do cool things! Want to auto apply different layers at various heights, or automatically put a texture on certain angle slopes etc...

Oh well, once I hammer this shit out I can move back to more interesting stuff like animation and making 3d stuff.

Hi, a great vid, but 1 thing puzzles me. You say your basic set up for the layers is "Texture, Texture, Vector" (params), but at 14:47 you are using Texture, Vector, Vector in your grass layer.
Any particular reason why?

Awesome tut, thanks a lot, but I have a question, why do you have 1 of the variations multiplyers just for the grass layer?

kay so I tried this, and nothing happened, I followed it but my material isnt painting the textures, the entire landscape is white?

Thanks alot for video Tutorial, and i hit Like,
But i really wish u used Starter content textures for sake of ( beginners ) as the title says, i tried to follow up with u and went to cgtexture n typed ground + leaves A2 the result was giving me textures i cant seem to find the same texture your using which makes me cry in corner staring at my tiling Landscape :(, i dont wanna use random texture n get wrong results..

i tried to make 2 Landscape crods n make one with huge scale n other one normal n hook them up with Blend, i got a fairly good result but still lil bit ugly and tiling still exists since in my game my hero can fly,
i know the trick is to eliminate tiling is Multiply n lerp thingy.

is there anyone who approach Multiply n Lerp with starter content ?

At 11:02 where did you get that second texture from? I understand that the first one is the actual texture itself, and the third node there is a Vector for color, but what is the node in the middle? Where do I get it from?

looks awesome but confused on the textures youre using and how you made them. Seems most unreal tuts slide past the beginner steps.

Good tutorial but slow down. It was hard to follow what you were doing because you spoke quickly.
