Steve, I just wanted to say thank you one more time. Just yesterday, my oldest son was telling me how frustrated he is with his newly acquired used lawnmower. It's a Briggs engine, and it hasn't run correctly since right after he got it. So, I pulled the top yesterday afternoon and first thing I saw was the coil contacts were 100% corroded. So were the contact points on the flywheel. I cleaned them off, checked the spark plug and got a good hot spark. The engine would not start at all. We found that it was missing the vacuum tube and replaced it. Still wouldn't start. We, then, pulled the carb. square style and cleaned it. I was super-duper two beer careful in handling the needle jet and put it back together. Pumped the primer bulb, pulled the cord twice, and voilà! For about 20 seconds... Gas started pouring out of the carb and primer bulb. I had forgotten to double-check the seat. I racked my brain, trying to figure out what I was missing. I pulled the carb back down and double-checked the needle jet and checked the ports and blew the ports again as a precaution. I would bet money, I blew out the seat and didn't even realize it. THANK YOU! I now know where to look and what to do once again thanks to you Steve... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK

Going to try and fix carb on B & S Power Washer. I hate doing stuff like this but tired of paying $60 just for someone to look at it. Thank you for the easy to follow video. Very well done.

Steve, INVISIBLE HUGGIES...WOW. I am 72, female and always excellent with tools. My lawnmowers have never ever leaked gas into the air filter...until now. Your video is absolutely excellent. My problem was not how to repair...but finding the correct Briggs and Stratton carburetor parts.

God bless you friend! I trusted my memory, but reversed the needle and bulb valves and the carburetor leaked, but after watching your video close ups, I finally got the lawn mower working again. Good as new!

Steve, you are the man. I watched a bunch of other YouTube clips before I found this one that exactly described the problem I had with gas freely flowing out of the carburetor on my Honda HR21 lawnmower that has a carb very similar like the one you showed here. Removing the bowl, float and needle and cleaning them up fixed the problem. The only thing I would add is that I did not have to remove the entire carburetor. I dropped the bowl, float and needle off while the carb was still attached. If needed, you can lean the mower on its side to help see what is going on. After cleaning and putting the parts back on, the mower fired right up and no more gas leak. The whole fix from start to finish took less than thirty minutes. Thank you so much!

Great video. By installing the new needle and seat, it fixed my problem. Also, changed the air filter gasket and O-rings on carb. Sprayed the carburator with carb cleaner. To insert the rubber seat, I used a wooden dowel of the same diameter. Thanks again.

My leaky carb is now fixed. My next problem is, every time I tilt my beer bottle it leaks. I may require another video. Cheers.

Big thanks for this. Been screwing around with this carb a few days cleaning the piss out of it and it kept leaking. Watching this looks like the tip broke off the needle. Finally got the help I needed.

Your videos are the best and very informative. Your video helped with leaking gas from carburetor, replaced needle and seat on carburetor for a Briggs and Stratton engine although float seemed not perfectly level it fixed leak. Lawnmower start fine after priming. I still have an issue were I have to prime every time I start it even if it's running for a while.

Had a B&S, 15.5 h.p. on my tractor. Was doing the same thing. Only difference was the seat was a metal cup and the needle had a rubber tip. Had to use a screw to pull out the seat, but you're right, a cheap and easy fix.

Appreciate the video. I replaced the needle and seat on my cyclone lawn vacuum and it worked like a charm. No more leaky carburetor.
I wouldn't have had a clue what to do without your video.

Thank you so much, I fixed my carb! Problem in mine was that it was sitting there with no gas for 2 years. Some of the gum actually dried up and got between the needle and the rubber seal. Overhauled the carb with totally cleanup And did the leak test as you showed while the carb was still out. Perfect, no more gas leak. And powered up on first pull!!! 😁😎👍👍👍
