there are loads of instances all around the world (and not just planes) where you can pay the same price and either get something good or something bad. here in london, we get 'declassified first class' on trains a LOT (basically you can sit in first with a standard ticket) (thiugh do be careful as nit all first classs is declassified), a well-known example being the first class at the back of a thameslink class 700 is always declassified (not the front) and a less-known one that links to this video better is that when stansted express occasionally run 745/0 units (which has first class) instead of the usual /1 (which doesnt have first class) then first is declassified
