A lot of us are spending more time online in 2020 bringing new challenges. Peter wanted to put together a video showing people how to play audio recordings through their microphones so they could share it with others. Allowing them to share sound clips in their remote learning class, Zoom / Skype / Google Hangout Conferences, or during live streaming events. If you found this helpful or seen us doing something during our live stream that you are interested in learning. Leave a comment below or reach out to us through Discord. Thanks for watching!

Watching this in 2024. I'm seasoned in Stereo Mix using. Broadcasted music on various platforms over the years. My issue is... Has Discord purposely nerfed this feature? I can not for the life in me, find a setting that allows lossless audio. When i select Stereo Mix, it sounds like I've got a mic up to my speakers, and not broadcasting what my soundcard is playing. Any advice?

I don't know if this is because technology has changed over 3 years or what but this just didn't work for me. Stereo mix stayed silent. Nothing went through it.

So I can get it to work when I use my laptop speakers, but when I try to use it with my headset it doesn't pick it up. Not sure if I'm missing something, but it's a start. Thanks!

Hello.

I have purchased a stream deck to go along with streamlabs obs. My question is this.

Is there a way to play a sound effect on the stream deck and also hear it through my speakers, so that I know it is working, but also have the stream here at the same time without an echo issue. Usually I would play a horn sound. I would not hear it only the stream would hear it. I would have to listen on another device to make sure that the sound effect horn or song is coming through. I want to play a song so that I can hear it while I'm playing it and the stream is playing as well. I want to play it through the computer or through the audio channel so that the sound is clear.

For instance I don't want to have to put my mic by the speaker as the only way I can hear the audio and the stream here is the audio. The audio would be very degraded that way.

I want to be able to press the horn button on the stream deck. Hear the horn sound coming out of my speakers so that I know it's working. While simultaneously My stream hears the horn sound as well clearly. Without setting my mic by output speaker which would degrade the sound, and without causing any echo issues.
