You are a very good instructor. The content is excellent! One of my tasks is to inspect televisions and telephones in our hotel rooms prior to a guest checking in. I have the reports for today through today plus 3 additional days. 4 days total. I am having difficulty trying to determine whether a hotel room is empty based on check in date of the new guest arriving and the check out date of the guest who is either checking out today or has already checked out and the room has been empty for X number of days. The available Excel column's are Room Name, Telephone Extension, Arrival Date, Check Out Date, and Status. Status shows the text message ARRIVAL, CHECKOUT, or it is blank. I'm almost there. I have all of the necessary data. I'm just having difficulty figuring out if the room is empty or not so that I can inspect. One point of clarification is each day I look at today and the next three days in advance to determine if the room is unoccupied and can be inspected. Many times a room can have someone checking out in the morning and a new guest checking in later that day. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Terry

Change the example of date from 02-02-2008 to 02-04-08 Sir! With your example it is obvious that day is 02 as well as month is 02. It still does not tell us whether it is a DD/MM or a MM/DD format. Just a suggestion.
