Another video with some very innovative woodworking tip ideas that most of us can use somewhere in our workshop, like a model builders hammer, earth magnet tips, an effective way of storing sanding discs, and maybe even a way of rejuvenating Gorilla Glue, and the table saw riving knife for those using circular saw blades to reduce sawdust and get thinner cuts on their wood.

Something I learned awhile ago is to take water absorption packs that come in a lot of packages and put them in with my tools to prevent rusting. Thanks for all the great videos and tips

Hi, Colin, I watch your channel first, every time I tune in to You Tube. I have some tips for you, If your viewers are like me and have trouble holding small files or chisels due to old age try drilling a small hole in a golf ball and insert the tang in it. They make great handles that are easier on the hands. I also use a circular saw rip blades on my table saw to rip boards to length, They are cheaper and work great on salvaged wood. They save your good expensive blades for finer work. I buy them at yard sales (the non carbide type) and sharpen them by hand. sometimes as cheap as 5 for a dollar!!

Dale's glue tip is great for any glue. I use titebond 2 and had some that hardened so none would pour. I recently by accident found out if you warm it up it returns to a usable viscosity, with titebond glue you can add up to 30% water before compromising its holding power. A space heater + a cup of water × titebond = saving money.

As for reconstituting glues, I’ve had great luck over the years by adding just a tiny bit of water, mixing, then in consistency is not smooth, add a dash more water. I also keep my tips clean for positive close and store glues nozzle down. Great tips. Always enjoy them. Steve, Plymouth, MA

The Sandpaper box is a great idea, and I’m thinkin I can use a similar box for my Circular Saw Blades too!

Hi Colin. Thanks for the tips. But a riving knife should not have more than 8mm distance from the saw blade, to prevent kickback with smaler parts.

Some GREAT tips in this video!!! Currently my table saw does not have a riving knife and now I think I know how I'm going to make one! Do you have a link to those magnets? I tried to do a search for them but couldn't find 'em

If I’m making a new splitter I’m going to make it so it sits closer to the blade I’m using.

Colin, how did you keep a straight face talking about Gorilla Glue the way you did?

do you have, or will you do, a video explaining the exact setup of the spline cut jig on the router table? Love the idea.

I’m sure like may people’s work shop mine gets cold during the winter. So I’ve always warmed up gorilla glue in a cup of hot water and it’s never let me down

When I saw the thumbnail, I thought, They seriously CAN'T be sharpening blade teeth with a friggin' angle
Felt a lot better when I saw what you were actually doing....

I had some 5-year-old two-part epoxy that was getting cloud and a dip of the bottle in 200-degree water cleared it right up.

I prefer to use the biscuit joiner for cutting splines as one can cut multiple slots merely by raising the machine. Keep in mind that cutting a slot in a corner does not require a jig

The riving knife that came with my saw has a plastic protector that gets in the way. I like safety..but I can't seem to work with it. Do you have a link for the riving knife.
