Our Favourite Tics? | Tourette's Couple Q&A

Hey everyone! In today's video, Will and I talk about our favourite tics. As a couple with Tourettes, we want to spread awareness through some of our stories, and thought that this questions was an interesting one to ask and talk about!!

As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. I hope this video will educate you on Tourette Syndrome and tic disorders! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:

Thanks for watching!

The „i got rice“ tic does seem to be the least uncomfortable tic :) i found your videos a few weeks ago and i love them! if i dare say it, i find this tic even pretty cute (i also love rice, so im definitely biased) and from time to time out of the blue i have to think about this tic of yours. So in a way you have definitely influenced my life, because i am thinking of tourettes syndrome a lot more often and i am talking about it more than before. Thank you for spreading knowledge in such a soft spoken and nice way. You and your bf are definitely adorable together! :)

“I clearly don’t have rice with me all of the time” legit laughed out loud then immediately hit the subscribe button!
That was hilarious!
Thanks for sharing your life and raising awareness on Tourettes!
Much love from Canada

I must say, you make the cutest couple... not just because you both understand what it's like living with tourette syndrome, but just because you both are funny and seem very kind and loving... this in my eyes is a perfect match 😍

I’d say my favorite was (it’s no longer a tic of mine) meowing. I actually love to meow and did it a lot growing up, just for fun, so people literally didn’t notice when my meowing was a tic or not. It also didn’t hurt at all to do.
Never thought I’d miss a tic till my meowing was replaced with uncomfortable/painful tics 🗿

A tic that isnt mentioned but is really cute and also not painful(I think) is your vocal tic when you say ‘hello’ in that kinda high pitched voice. It almost sounds like a parrot saying hello. Its adorable

disclaimer, i don't usually get super complex vocal tics unless i get triggered by something or if i'm tired, so i don't often get these when i'm out and about. if i did i probably wouldn't find them amusing.

i think my favourite one is "and that's why you get no bitches" which i somehow picked up from stanzi potenza (if you do look up the "no bitches" videos be aware they're kinda of nsfw themed). it doesn't happen very often and if it did it would get very annoying because it's long and i usually get dystonic tics while i'm vocal ticcing where my neck locks in an uncomfortable position. since it only happens occasionally and it's usually really funny when it does it's one of my favourites.

another one i find kinda charming is "I eat dirt" followed immediately by "I'm a worm!!" because i always say it in such a happy voice, it makes my brain happy if that makes sense.

I love all your content, it is very educational. I must say the ‘I got rice’ and ‘the communists are coming’ are the two tics I find most humorous, if that is ok to say. I really feel sorry for you when you have tics that cause you to hurt yourself like punching your chest. I think this would be hard to live with. Bless you Carly, you are awesome and hi Will, I’m glad you and Carly found each other because you are both awesome.

Hello, I saw your videos on YouTube and I am very sorry you having so awful ticks. I see how much you work against your ticks and hope you stay safe and have not these awful tic attacks.
I hope I can give you good energy to make these videos. I don't have Tourette. Because of your videos I know now, it could be very hard to live with it.
Thank you for teaching me ♥️
Greetings from Germany🌺

Had a video on my feed earlier. 60 minutes Australia on teens with a new tic condition that isn’t Tourette’s. Have you seen it? It was very interesting.
Aw your fiancé seems really sweet. Love his hair! Thank u for a fab video xx

You two are adorable. I can imagine that you two would agree that your least favorite tics would be hitting yourself.

Do you ever wish you could control your tics to say or do different things? With my OCD I often wish I could control it for positive things, such as my law degree. I got it and did ok but I had to force myself to do the work which was usually at the last minute. If I’d been obsessed with it you’d have to force me to stop working on it.
