I think a lot of these comments are missing the point. The video doesn't pretend that the J7 is the equal of the S7. Clearly the S7 is a higher quality phone with better hardware and display. However some of us want a smartphone without all the bells and whistles. I don't need to run hi-def games on my phone and I don't use it to take professional quality photographs. I don't need it to open up apps as fast as the S7, just so long as the speed is within reason, as this appears to be.

Both are great phones - just the S7 is better. If you think the qualities of the S7 greatly outweigh the J7 then by all means pay double the price and nobody will criticize you for it. If you just want a phone to hit up facebook and twitter and a few other apps then why spend over $600 for it?

s7 is great, but I'm not gonna pay 650-700 € for a toy ! J7 is probably the best choice in it's price range !

great video. I only buy phones around the $200 mark. I'd never spend 5-6 hundred dollars or more on a phone unless I was rich.

I just purchased the S7 This phone reminds me of my old boost mobile phone. I also down graded from note 4. I still have a grace period so I'm going for the J7, pay the phone off in hopes for future Note. Thanks for video..I like saving money, bigger screen. The S7 to me isn't worth the money to me...smaller and feels like that boost mobile phone

Ok, I am in a bit of a quandary.  I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S3. Biggest complaints after nearly 3 years is the battery life and the lack of sound volume. It takes decent pics, and for the most part is an ok phone. If you were considering a new Samsung, which would you choose. I like the larger screen on the J, and the price. I'm not so sure I want to pay more than double for a slightly faster phone. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Thank you for the very very good review video. I'm looking to purchase a new phone for my 16yr old son who currently has a beat up S7 which is in bad condition. I unfortunately don't have enough money to buy another S7, so I was looking for a less expensive alternative. Although I certainly know that with a cheaper price comes a less quality phone, but you've made a very great comparison video which helped me in my decision. So again, I'd like to say thank you sir!

I have em both and I love them both. S7 is beautiful and has a little better camera. The processor is zippy and the display is vibrant. The j7 is a great buy I got it for sale at metro for 179 I like the display and the screen size is as big as I'd practically want. If you can afford the s7 it's awesome and you will love it. But if you get the j7 you aren't missing anything you can't live with out. The j7 is like a flagship but with a little cheaper features and build. Oh and I must add they both feel good in the hands but the s7 has a more premium feel because of the glass and curved back.

I got the straight talk J7 sky pro refurbished for $55. Only things I don't like about is the lack of automatic screen dimmer and notifications led. Other than that, it feels solid and preforms well. Excellent for a under $100 smartphone.
I got it cause my S5 is unable to run updated apps and to hold me over till walmart gives thier sweet black Friday deal on a S7 or S8

do a comparison side by side as into performance speed test like the video you made LG Stylo vs Samsung Galaxy 6 let's see if it's worth paying the $700 over $200 . it would be nice also to compare photos just to see if there is a huge difference

I have the volt 1 for 2 years now. I want to get a new phone since it's slowing down. I've been leaning towards the s7 because it has a very nice spec, especially the memory as it has 4gb compared to any other mid range phone, 2gb, and a very nice storage space, 32gb as opposed to 16gb.

The s7 spec tells me that I won't need to upgrade for sometime as long as android updates are still supported. With the j7, you're likely to upgrade at least within a year or two, which isn't bad if it's two years as the cost will be cheaper than the s7.

The size of the j7 is a bit of a turn off for me as I will put a case on it, which will make it bulkier than what it is already.
