They should be sued for price gouging. It's getting ridiculous how much auto insurance cost keep rising even when they consider you a good driver.

Just one more reason to not “download the app” for convenience. Not just this company but any company.

This is why I removed the computer that monitors that in my car.
Look for the telematics in your fuse box. Then trace it to the computer and unplug it.

They try to get you to keep it on by allowing you to start your car from your phone.
This is another security risk. Disable it.

In the US we all new diesel vehicles will.shut down in traffic if the emissions system is not functioning properly.
They are already shutting down vehicles for noncompliance. It is dangerous and expensive when your commercial.vehicle derates and demands maintenance in the middle of a workday.

I really hate this new world we are living in, at least this aspect of it. It’s totally invasive yet voyeuristic

Your cell phone tracks you. Even a desk top computer can monitor when you go to lunch, toilet etc.

All insurance companies are ripping us all off . I can't afford car insurance. My car isn't worth the money, if your paying $1000 a year put, that money in an investment account it will add up, and it's still yours, giving away your money to someone just in case, should be a loan 😂😂😂

To be fair, notwithstanding the fact that it was without consent, probably a very good idea and very indicative of driver risk, lol.

Isn't that the same thing they do with the little OBD plugs they use to get better rates? I guess they figured out how to do it WITHOUT THE SMALL PLUGS!
