This is an example of the videos you will find there for 2017. Yes... I am asking you to come join our Grow It Cook It Eat It FB group and check it out. The group is about sharing home grown & cooked food with family and friends.

Coley and I will be continuing the Grow It Cook It Eat series for 2017. Full videos are planned for YouTube but this is not one of them. I will be putting a lot of videos just like this one, exclusively, in our GCE FB Group. Garden tips videos with no commercials.

I am horrible at hardening off my plants. So when I start my plants inside I tend to take them out and leave them out as soon as they break the surface. this is great advice :)

Thanks for the video. I used to start my seedlings on my window sill cause I couldn't buy a grow light and they got so leggy they would just fall over and when I would take them outside they would die. With this video they did not grow legging thank you.

I would LOVE to be able to germinate maters at 40F. It doesn't seem like a good idea Gary! But, I want to expand my "truth" so I want to make sure. You get great germination at low temps like that?

I'm a new gardener and this is exactly what I was looking for. I see there is no lid. Also, how and when do you water these? I'm container gardening only this season and I just started my indoor sowing. Never have done this before. :-) thanks

I have pepper seedlings and tomatoes and some other vegetable. I live in Florida and it's already in the 90's.

I took my seedlings out the other day for 45 minutes and a couple of them fell over.

What do I do? They're sitting in a sunny window right now.

Hi, Gary. Love your channel. I didn't know you sell seeds. Where do I find them? I've got some leggy beets and broccoli growing in a grow light tote that I made from your channel. They're an inch and a half. What should I do with them? Are they compost material? How do I keep them from getting leggy? Thanks

I was reading that the sun would roast the seeds if you start them outdoors is that incorrect? I live in LA and it's very hot here right now in the summer so I was trying to germinate them in a dark space and then introduce them to light slowly. Please let me know what you think the best way for summer is.

Hi Gary: I live in the Pacific Northwest where it's cloudy for most of spring. How long would seedlings have to be outside in order to get sufficient sunlight for growth? I also have south facing windows, do you think having seedlings next to them will be enough? Thanks!

I live in Connecticut and don't know if can do this or not. There are a lot of days where it's still freezing outside around mid march where starting seedlings is best for a mid may transplant. Thoughts?

Hi, doing this and it is working well, but this week we have had several very cloudy days in a row. The forecast is for another week of cloudy days with all the way from drizzle to thunderstorms. I know some sun comes through the clouds, but is this going to harm my seedlings that I have read need copious amounts of sunshine in the beginning of their life? Thank you!

First time container gardener.... I live in zone 8 (Alabama) so it'll be fine to sow seeds and let them be outside from 6a-2p?... I don't have any grow lights or anything

First time gardening! I live in Southern California where it's always above frost. Can I germinate outdoors while I'm at work even if I don't have grow lights?

Gary what does the average inside temp need to be for them to survive, because we have someone here that loves to cut the heat off at night,

Hey I live in Mount Dora Florida. We have so much sun, I want to utilize the amount but it’s so hot can I put seeds outside or will they die from the crazy heat
