Hi Everyone!
Just to clarify as some of you might have been confused about whether this time-lapse is for 18 or 52 days duration.
This one is actually for 18 days.
We also have another time lapse with the 52 days footage of tomato sprouting from a whole fruit, which was previously published on our channel as well as linked to this video.
Thank you!

The first time people discovered farming was probably like man discovering an infinite money glitch

I LOVE how nature wastes nothing. Every bit of the tomato was utilized. It’s so refreshing.

Wow!!! Really shows how important mould is in breaking down food waste. Amazing!

RIP to the few seedlings that didnt make it to the surface. May their sacrifice be forever remembered.

it sucks cause those sprouts that never made it out wouldve kept growing up out of the soil if they werent recieving light through the glass that made them "think" they had already breached the soil. Either way its a very cool timelapse, its cool to see your little critters eat away the mold, the soil is so healthy and alive in your videos it always makes me happy.

I did this on my garden like 3 months ago. Now my plants are like 2+ meters tall and I'm waiting for my first tomatoes to be ready for harvest :)

What's even more fascinating is the entire ecosystem of tiny organisms within the soil

the seeds turning into sprouts is really cool to see, but seeing the tomato slice mold, and turn into part of the soil was really fascinating

edit: indeed, not mold, its mycelium

Nothing quite beats walking into the garden, to get fresh veg for a dinner. I really miss having a garden. Home grown food is the best food. Great video, thank you for sharing.

That’s why keep old tomatoes out of my compost!! Those seedlings sprout up everywhere!

I love how the worms and mycelium are polite enough to not harm the spurts

The fact that the rest of the tomato rots away giving the soil nutrients for the plant is so cool.

I know it's the time lapse but I LOVE how the first sprout out of the dirt was wiggling around like it was having a lil victory dance at being first.
