i have been using an a7riii for video and photos in professional settings and everything is great except for low light. im very curious about how this v will handle lower light with that insane res.

I'd love to see a video centric review about this camera! It would be great if you could focus also on the usability of the different resolutions when filming with the a7R V (4K on my a7IV looks amazing, but pixelbinned/line skipped 1080 not so much. How hard/easy are the 8K files to edit? I love the benefit of cropping in when using 4K on a 1080 timeline, so having even more room with 8K for that would be really awesome. That brings me to another question: do third-party lenses perform differently in 8k, meaning are imperfections/less sharpness noticeable when cropping in a lot in 8K footage? I use a lot of Samyang glass (and love it!) but that could drive up the costs, if 8K would mean that it really requires very premium glass (GM etc)

The flip out screen being that advanced is nice. But I’m still saving for the A1. The RV has horrible rolling shutter and very low burst rate speeds.

Having an a7iii and an a7siii this only really provides an upgrade in MP which the A1 would also be for me too and it wouldn’t suffer from horrible rolling shutter in video.

It’s a cool camera, great for the price, but if you can save up and buy an A1 then that’s honestly the better buy.

No high speed options for video. Only goes up to 60fps in 4k.
