Dude, I stream full time and have never had any real issues until I became hooked to ARK and boy it's a beefy game. I've had nothing but lag and grumpy viewers!

That run admin trick FINALLY seemed to do the trick for me. I started this mission of starting to stream last Friday, a few hours each morning. Changing this, changing that, and all network speed is excellent. I'm running on a 1360 x 768 res with 60fps and found 3000 is the bitrate I needed. I learned A LOT from this venture though. I wanted to start a game from scratch as my first stream and the game I've been testing everything with is very similar so I hope these settings correlate, haha. Thanks man!

Another thing that helps is making your base canvas resolution the same as your output resolution scaled down if you need to stream at 720.

Wow thanks for the tips! It's wild a small detail like "setting OBS Studio to automatically run as administrator" would help a great deal in deleting the issue with staggering/dropped on when I stream I'll see how it works out! I recently started streaming in 1080p, before I was scaling my video output to 720p and it was smoother but my bitrate was low at 3500 Kbps. Saw some videos saying bitrate should be higher for 720p to 1080p streaming plus a few other tweaks. Now I just enabled this option, I hope I get a butter smooth stream!
