It's because Obi-Wan is way more cracked out than people think, mainly because anyone looks chill when standing next to Anakin

Obi wan: Gets more peaceful in his later years

Also Obi wan: *Cuts off a guy’s hand with his lightsaber at the cantina*

"What's the reason for you to wield a blue lightsaber? It surely has a deep meaning, right?"
Obi-Wan: "I like blue."

*Ben:* "In my younger days, I had a deeper connection with the high ground rather than the force."
*Luke:* "W-What-?"
*Ben:* "Don't worry... you'll be one of the first to use both at once." 🌚

Out of world explanation would be that originally George only had Blue and Red and had no intention of having another colour. Green only came in ROTJ because the blue lightsaber got lost against the blue sky of Tattoine. Also George wanted to show that Luke had a new lightsaber

In his prime years, Kenobi was a textbook Jedi Guardian. It was only during his exile that he moved away from his reliance on combat.

Tbh I could never see Obi Wan with a green saber, a iconic Blue user 🐐

Never mind the fact that Kenobi was considered *THE* master of Form III

That’s correct also it stems toward a legends fact about Obi-wan

Unlike Anakin who was born with high M Count and string connection with the Force

Obi-Wan as a Youngling lacked such gifts

He was turned down by masters and was nearly sent to the Agricultural Corps, where rejected Jedi use their Force powers to help grow crops

But Qui-Gon saw value in Obi-Wan and took him in

Obi-Wan, became powerful through hard work and experience

He’s like the Naruto of Star Wars

He became the greatest master of Soresu in history, wnd became one of the most experienced Jedi to fight Sith Lords in modern history

It’s why he was qualified to fight General Greivous

He defeated stronger opponents like Darth Maul, and young Darth Vader at Mustafar

His talent was truly in the blade, which is why he was suited in being a Jedi Guardian with a Blue Saber color

But it’s also true ghe developed the wisdom. of a Jedi Councilor as he got older

He might be qualified for Yellow, Jedi Sentinel as they’re a Hybrid of force powers and saber affinity

That's why Green is my favorite color of lightsaber. Aside from their wisdom, they have deeper knowledge and connection with the actual Force itself. Prime example is Qui-Gon Jinn. He lives true to the true ways of the Jedi by following the will of the Force like living in the moment (Living Force) and connecting to people (Cosmic Force).

When I first saw this, I thought it was because of his chosen lightsaber form working in tandem with his philosophy on protecting people and bringing peace to the galaxy. He chose a defensive form and not only mastered it, but became, in Windu’s eyes, *the* master of soresu.

I do like this idea, but the idea of being hot-headed and impulsive in his younger years still makes sense to explain his color.

Obi Wan was more of a warrior than anything…. Dude battled everyone and defeated them all… except Dooku.

You also can’t forget that there were also some Jedi that focused on both combat and having a very deep connection with the force. And it was really just the best of both worlds.

He has a 100% hit rate with green lightsabers

I still look at it more from a legends prespective that Blue lightsbers signified a Jedi Gaurdian, Green a Jedi Counciler, and Yellow a Jedi Sentinel. And Obi-Wan has always been more of a Gaurdian then a Counciler

I thought this was what the colors were for:
Blue - loyalty, stability, truth, justice
Green - growth, safety, harmony
Red - power, anger, hatred
Purple - nobility and wisdom
Yellow - goodness, warmth, energy
Orange - creativity, ambition, resourcefulness
White - purity, peace, positivity, neutrality
Black - power, darkness, aggression, mystery - The Darksaber is a unique weapon and the only known lightsaber to have this color.
