At first, I thought Texas cichlid but looking at pics of juveniles of both the Texas and Jack Dempsy they look very similar.

He is a jack Dempsey fish they can be fairly aggressive as they get bigger

New fish owner here, I got the same tank two same filters just did the Lavar rock but my tank is a lil cloudy I only had it up since the 23 of December tried using water clarifier, but it doesn’t seem to work. How do I get my tank to be clear?

it looks like a female jack demsey, why didnt u put the lave rock in a filter bag? so it wont go everywhere when u change the cartridge.

Could we just shove FILTER FLOSS POLYFILL into this pump and call it GOOD TO GO ?... i hate cartriges
