Shown her book's 'errors,' Sara Duterte answers with a joke | ABS-CBN News

Vice President Sara Duterte was faced anew with questions about her controversial children's book "Isang Kaibigan" on Tuesday (August 27), during the House appropriation committee's hearing on her office's proposed 2025 budget.

Duterte, who for the latter part of the hearing opted to "forgo the opportunity" to defend the OVP's budget following heated exchanges with lawmakers, answered with a joke when confronted with supposed "errors" in her book by Kabataan party-list Rep. Raoul Manuel.

Manuel asked Duterte who the editor of the book was, as its content supposedly contains grammatical and factual errors. The vice president answered, "Raoul Manuel," in an apparent jab at the congressman scrutinizing the book.
