Dr. Julie Ferguson, I very recently discovered you on YouTube where I immensely enjoy your very Educational videos. I Love your teaching style and your Love for the Sciences.

If it wasn't for my advanced age (I am Retired), I would probably go back to College and study GeoChemistry or GeoPhysics. I currently only hold an A.A. Degree.

I do accept the Theories of "Continental Drift, " originally proposed by Alfred Wegener, "Seafloor Spreading" and "Plate Tectonics." Am I correct if I say the latter, Plate Tectonics, helps to connect the other two?

I have almost rejected these Theories but now I gladly accept them due to a little deeper research into them.

If I ever become a time traveler, my goal in life will be to go back to each and every one of those brilliant people who died before they saw their hypothesis proven right, and tell them they mattered.

The Wegener song is brutal. Science nerds have a horrifying Big Bang Theory-like sense of humor

Wouldnt seamounts take chunks out of the continental crust and drag them into the mantle recycling some crust?

It looks to me most of the actual movement would be at subduction zones.  The rock has to be in a bind and when things get in a bind they tend to creep unless its a single crystal then it just shears off.  If you look at rocks that were put in a bind you can look at them and tell they creeped.

I can't believe that almost half students were giving wrong answer of question regarding moving close to pole or further away.who are these guys? How did they manage to get into University of California? If u ask that same question in my class I am damn sure that almost 90% student will give u the right answer.
