Honestly, the fact that this game has a battle system means it won't stay casual for very long. It's awesome that you can just collect cards for free and that they'll even be adding trading down the line. This is gonna be the only real way I ever interact with TCG again.

I know the game just released for a few days but the 1st thing they should do is add more rewards to the PVP matches.
Adding 1 pack hourglass when losing and/or 2 pack hourglasses when winning would be cool cuz at least you're working for it.
Maybe it's better to get pack hourglasses from winning instead cuz it gives pressure to players and they may get the tendency to spend money in order to win (or quit the game idk)
But who knows? Maybe it's too generous and it could ruin the game's income

I dont think re rolling is a high priority, there are not that many cards available and the game seems to feed you certain cards you need.

Just got to the end of the solo battles and it really does feel like the only way to continue having fun and opening packs is to reset your account. The second you hit that wall and realise that the game wants you to stop having fun unless you open up your wallet, I realised that the game just doesn't have the content to keep players interested after that. Same thing happened with PTCGO where you'll have to deal with the most annoying competitive meta ever where you either have to just do mirror matches for a chance to win or just log off for 1-2 months until the next set hopefully comes out with another competitive option or squashes the previous annoying deck.

After opening a pack, press and hold the cards and slightly slide to the right, you'll be able to see the edges of upcoming 4 diamond rares/FA's/EX's, helps to tell you to speed through the pack or prepare for pleasant surprise/getting a card you already have. Not game-breaking, but i did get a nice screenshot of a god pack this way in the vanilla game.

I don’t know if you’re doing a part 2 but I would love a breakdown on the currencies and the best way to use them all. I’m really hesitant to spend anything because I have no clue what’s worth spending and what’s not!

Issues with the game;

No incentive to win
Getting tickets based on limited solo challenges
Getting tickets based on potential “thanks” from other players
Limited spending with tickets on hourglasses that you can’t buy once they run out.
Very low XP per win.
Levelling takes forever if you aren’t P2W.
Having 50 of the same card

I evolved my deck to be Charizard Ex and Moltres EX, with the rest trainer cards. 2 basics, 1 stage one evolution, 1 stage two evolution. The rest trainer cards. Winning Advance solo. Lots of luck leads to a quick win.

The flair system actually goes the other way around; the more rare the card the less copies you need to unlock the next flair. Having quantities of the flairs was a surprise but the process of "collecting" the flairs and applying them to various aspects of the game (binders, decks, etc) is incredibly fun. The generous allowance of shine dust makes the entire flair system seem approachable and incredibly affordable

Just for stats if you plan to reset your account, it takes 7min 30s to open 13 packs excluding the scripted packs. And if you got good things on them, you can get 18 more packs in 15 minutes, and then decide if you still want to reset.

If you want to do it really fast when you open your packs you can just click on the button to use your 12 hourglasses and instantly relaunch the app instead of watching the pack animation. (Do this only if you really want to have an amazing start as it does take away the fun part of opening packs, but if you plan on doing hours and hours of reset you should do it).

On top of that, to get the 18 packs in only 15 minutes you'll need to complete advanced missions, the fastest way to do them is to avoid doing the 3 fights, the lvl 6 and the 2 decoration effects. So you will need to have 3 friends to add and you will need a nintendo account. If you don't have one of these you can still do this but it will take slightly longer as you will have to do 3 fights or possibly more if you also need lvl 6.

Heads up to those of you who actually like to have fun and are tired of seeing MewTwo Gard

Omastar-Frosmoth is actually a surprisingly good counter and will annoy the FUCK out of them because the toughest thing for a power player to beat is raw control

Tip for rerolling, you can activate premium pass when doing rerolls and it'll allow you to roll 10 packs at once, probably with 30+ spare hourglass. And if you get nothing you want, you can clear save data and just do the process again. Important part is you need to click "Complete purchase" somewhere in premium pass to transfer your old premium free pass. DONT LINK YET IDK WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN :)

I'm level 12 and I barely have enough to make another deck other than the one they gave us for free. Even my main is barely viable in versus. Rerolling is crucial as you really need to have good cards right off the bat.
