I can't wait for someone to say;
"I'm coding on vim on light mode"

Real competition will arise when they start coding competitions, thinking capability comparison is the real challenge

it's funny, cause neither vim nor neovim lack mouse support.

You somewhat miss a big point of what make vim great it’s not created as one size fits all but you yourself tailor it to your liking. Thanks to that I can use the workflow I feel the most comfortable not the one forced on me. Xcode and visual studio ( not vscode ) is especially guilty for this

Things like i3 and Vim do wonders for productivity because you don’t need to constantly take your hand off your mouse and keyboard. Would I get rid of the mouse entirely? No. For example I use it pretty heavily in my web browser. But I genuinely find it easier and faster for most of my coding workflows

Tell me you haven't really tried vim or emacs without telling me.

You miss the point, it is ergonomically healthy in the long run if you interact 8 hours a day on computer. Not only this is way faster this is what builder, wngineer do not just end user consume product. Peace man...

If you ever need to touch a Linux or any other Unix-like system, it's almost certain VI will be there. At least know the basics; you might need it. Be sure to learn how to exit the damned thing:)
