Tell me you have never used linux without telling me you have never used Linux.

😂😂😂😂 I feel attacked. But honestly tho there are advantages to using linux, like the freedom for customization and configuration is unparalleled and plus most servers are Linux servers, so familiarizing yourself with Linux will definitely help. But it does have a bit of a learning curve

I mean the word big corporation should be a big red flag in our current age

I use linux but I dont judge (loud), in any case if I ever mention to someone that linux is better is mostly because I think if the world moves to open source we all would have a better place

I use Linux at work, windows at home. I feel it has given me an edge when having to SSH into servers and already being familiar with working from the console. I did "downgrade" from arch to kubuntu thought, just to make it easier on myself.

When I started using Linux a year ago, I learned a lot of stuff, I wish I’ve started 3 or 4 years before

in my mind, if your market is windows, use windows, if its linux, use linux, etc

at least for languages that are platform targeted

It’s about speed and customisation. Customising not just looks but the way you interact with your machine. Linux may not be as responsive as Windows or Mac but speed at which you interact can be reduced by a lot. That’s reason once you are deep in Linux you never go back to Windows.

For example, I wanna use OSes like ArchLinux so I can replicate/backup my configuration and installed packages.
If my system breaks, I just have another one up and running in about 15 minutes

Truth unfolded… Myself being a linux user don’t know why most of them really brag themselves, really can’t find reason for this division they do amongst the coder community 😢

to be fair, 3 days is not how long you're gonnna be taking to install a lot of plenty good distros lol. Void linux takes like around 15 min max to install. probably more like 5 min. my point being, it's not a slow process at all, or at least not any slower than installing windows i'd guess.

This guy obviously doesn’t know what he is talking about. 3 days to set up a Linux distro? Your never done with the setup.

Linux is awesome. I never install it anymore. Did that in high school. Been running in VMs and hypervisors since my second professional job.

Yea I love both worlds. I use Mac daily. But when it comes to serious stuff, Linux is the way2go.

I like this comment section where Linux users constantly validate themselves that switching to Linux was the right choice. Get a life, guys. 🙈
