I'm diabetic as well, and celiac. And it's been a blessing. Because of it, I eat healthy 99% of the time, and I do calisthenics to stay in shape. ☺️ I just took a disease and an autoimmune disease and flipped it, making it an advantage for my over all well being.

I used to have a 5am morning routine that I followed for 2 months but found it unsustainable and restrictive. My philosophy is that as long as you get all your daily tasks done, that's all that matters. I find that getting 7-8 hours of sleep is more important than pushing yourself to sleep super early or not enough just to wake up super early.

When I'm on my hospital placement starting at 8am, I have to wake up at 5am😪 dreading it. Usually get up at 9am with my toddler who has restless sleep all night! I will have to adjust from next week. I also get up for fajr this time. After having my son in 2019 I was type 2 diabetes, im on low carb n dr gave me metformin, I tried to explain i hit hypo alot, with exercising 10min after a meal. He still prescribes me with it. Im a msc nursing student, I check my glucose 7-9 times a day, especially when I'm more active. Once I hit 2.1 and was okay in my house. That day in the hospital placement man i was probably 1.2mmol, dragged myself into the bathroom to avoid the shame. Made it tho, that day had pro shake n my metformin after walking 15min to the train station, no tea break and it was 11am since having my shake at 5.20am. I carry a handful of haribo with me now. I check my glucose b4 taking metformin!

Coffee in the morning can disrupt the natural rhythm of cortisol production. If we want to avoid this, we should adjust to the work of our body. The highest level of cortisol occurs in the body about 30-45 minutes after waking up, and then begins to fall. Therefore, the first morning coffee should be consumed no earlier than 2 hours after waking up ;)

I know some people who workout at 4 am . It’s tough . Not easy as it sounds and looks . Just got to get through it at first .

Great video my friend!! Im 52 and wake up 5am daily to walk for a hour. I lost 40lb in 7 months by doing thus and eating vegetarian. Dropped my triglycerides from 280 down to 75.
Only problem is I only get about 5 hours if sleep a night.
Are you able to get much sleep getting up at 5am?
Take care God Bless you
Michael

Best thing for morning routine - get a light with an alarm in it to slowly wak you up - put an alarm for the proper time right next to the shower and get straight in - have your heaters on timer switch to turn on an hour before you get up - set your computer to auto boot if doing office work or study - eat that frog (attack your hardest issue for the day first) and feed off the energy of completing that task for the rest of the day.

I'm 32 and been type 1 for 27 years now. I still have no idea how to gain weight and feel like giving up. I'm 144 and 6'0. I never see gains and not quite sure how to put more on with A1c hovering 6.2 every 3 months. My metabolism has always been super fast with a runners physique. Still trying to learn from you on the daily, keep it up.

Should I perform my weight training session during my 8 hour eating window? I implement 16/8 IF protocol, and was considering working out fasted at 4:00 to get my weight training and cardio to get back at 6am to get ready for work. Wouldn't waiting until I break my fast at noon be too long for having my postworkout meal? I keep seeing so many conflicting info about muscle loss when fasted weight training.
