RIP Julian Sands. This man was the expert in portraying terror. Such a cool scene.
Love SG1

Julian Sands was an amazing actor and I was thrilled to see him in Stargate. The recent recovery of his body after five months of being missing is a bittersweet conclusion to his life. He died doing what he loved and will be remembered for his many artistic works.

Season 9 was so well done. The Ori were so intriguing and frightening.

I sincerely appreciate that Daniel attempted to reason with opponent's or outright villains in SG-1. It contributed depth and validity which was important In order to balance the more pulpy aspects. It's a sign of quality the franchise could both have depth and levity.

I always love how Jackson takes the time and effort to engage higher beeing in a battle of wits to see who really speaks the truth and what is and is not a fact :D

I know lot of people dislike Ori but to me they were far more interesting villain than Goa'uld had been for many seasons. Goa'uld kind of lost their menace when SGC started to eliminate system lords faster that pest control company does cockroaches.
I just wish there would had been more seasons to flesh out Ori arch more.

He had only 5 or 6 scenes in the show alltogether, but he gave quite a menacing performance - quickly assuring the viewer the new villains mean business.

And finally, after all the disagreements with and resentment of the ancient's strict no-interference policy, Daniel starts to understand why they had those rules in place and punished those who broke them so harshly

Most badass moment of this episode... "FIRED UP DOCI: We do not require blind faith. Only that you believe what you see and know to be true."

I learn a lot of this series.
It cleanse me of possible religious fanatism.

I've always found the look of the priors, including the Doci, very literal. When a person is "blessed by the Ori" and therefore transformed into a prior, their eyes become pale and hollow. They become blind (to the truth and to reason). Interestingly, the eyes of the Orici are not hollow and pale; she knows exactly what's going on.

Sometimes the premiere ends early. If you rewatch you can see the whole thing. Youtube needs to fix this!

Starting at 2:50. The best share of all Stargate episodes. It's right up with The Bailey bank run speech in "It's a Wonderful Life"
