I’d be more confident if I didn’t see so many people wearing masks below their nose...

The study proves unequivocally, mannequins can not contract Covid 19.

"The testing assumed only one infected person on the plane and did not simulate the effects of passenger movement around the cabin or mask removal or non compliance".

transmission of covid on a plane "virtually non-existent" so says the "Chief Operating Officer" of an Airline. give me af break.

"if people are careful, then flying is pretty safe" - people are not careful and they don't like to wear masks and claim it's their liberty

Can the airline guarantee that everyone will cover their mouth AND nose while on board? I’m going to say no. I see noses hanging out of masks more and more. If people were compliant wearing masks correctly, I’d be more inclined to fly. Actually, no that’s a lie.

Nice try airlines. Still not travelling unless I'm the only passenger.

Tests were done with a mannequin SITTING IN PLACE....And not moving around and not taking the mask OFF, (as passengers OFTEN do), this is SO misleading!!

My question is where the airlines get the money to pay for this study when they are asking for tax payer bailout

Safe, just so long as everyone wears a mask, and wears it properly. Good luck with young children and under the nose wearers.

Notice they didn’t comment on the risk without mask

What about the virus on surfaces in the cabin? Can we see a study on this. Most importantly in the lavatory. During flight

I just flew for the first time Tuesday. Never going to fly again until we get this contained. Lady behind me kept on coughing and I was tucked in the window seat surrounded by people. Flight was about 85% capacity.

The industry that packs people like sardines to the extent physical altercations occur because someone reclines their seat, and fights tooth and nail agaisnt regulations that would provide for humane treatment of passengers has our best interests in mind.

Why do they even interview the guy from United? He is not a scientist.

Still not going to fly or get on a cruise.

Masks help by ALOT. Proven by science. Unfortunately some People take wearing a mask as a political statement and choose to be selfish enough not to wear one (including the president.)

My biggest question/concern is WHO PAID FOR THE STUDIES? If the airlines paid for the studies, the chances that the resulting data has not been "re-interpreted" are slim-to-none.
Any college Statistics 101 Professor will tell you that statistics and study data can be "interpreted" (read: manipulated) to demonstrate whatever you are trying to prove.

“Flights might actually be one of the safest places to be.”

Really, guys? Really? It’s sad that people can be dense enough to believe a statement like that and not be able to see what’s really going on.

They call it a “study”. This was clearly an ad made by the airlines!
