While I don’t own one, these smaller iPads have always intrigued me. Sucks to hear the newest model isn’t much of an upgrade.

I have been waiting to upgrade my mini 4. Though I feel bad for peeps that recently paid 499.00 for the 64 gig mini 6. P.S. the mini 6 case is on eBay for 25.00. It is compatible with the mini 7. Bought a new one in burnt orange before people twig and the prices shoot up!

Was really wanting to pick one up, but with all this, I'll keep my Air 4 for another year or two unless I can pick up a Mini 6 for cheap.
How on earth does it support the Pencil Pro, but not the regular one?
So many questionable choices, but that's Apple for you.

Woof. What a lame upgrade. Thanks for the update.

I was expecting the new iPad mini, I really wanted to buy it, but after seeing the specs, I am really having second thoughts. It seems that it lost more that what it gained. It is totally disappointing that Apple decided to drop support for Apple Pencil 2 generation based solely on financial arguments, because it is obvious that it was not a technical argument (just Apple being Apple). Also, disappointing that they did not upgrade the chip to something of the M family. I completely agree that the colors are "meh". The screen is basically the same of the iPad mini 5 (500 nits, 326ppi). Overall, a pretty boring "update".
