Explained: Will India ever takeover China's population figure?

14066 million: That’s the current population figure of India. China's population, stands at 1,448.5 million. As per the data gathered by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), China’s population is decreasing by 0.3 per cent every year, whereas India's is seeing an annual increase of 0.9 per cent. India is projected to become the world’s most populous nation by 2028. According to the UNFPA, India's population will then be around 1.45 billion.
