Corrections should be placed underneath this comment.

Lots of mispronunciations and misspellings in this one, sorry about that!

"ceized" instead of "seized, " and "Well-es-lee" instead of "Wells-lee."

Thanks!
Griff

I love how he stops saying "England" and starts saying "Britain" after 1707 because Scotland joined the union in 1707, brilliant attention to detail!

It's like what Dr. Shashi Tharoor said in famous Oxford speech - "The sun never sets on the British Empire because even God can't trust the British in the dark." Brilliant and very, very true! 😜🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Persians, Dutch, French, British, Portuguese, etc many nations had invaded India because of its riches... Even in London you find many museums where sovegniors robbed from India are present which are worth billions..

In short-

They came as traders, Obtained trade rights from local rulers, misused trade rights, governor of bengal took action, his general was paid off and brits took control of bengal, brits used local rulers against other rulers to gain control of certain region, Subsidary alliance was established with many of local kings allowed deployment of british army in nearly whole India. Doctrine of lapse was imposed mamy kingdome were took over by brits(why they did not resist? Because british army was already deployed in their kingdoms). In 1857 indians revolted, british crown took control, Nationalist movements rose and India gained independence in 1947.

The "enemy of enemy is friend" attitude of rulers killed India.

India was in a civil war
The Brits beat the other Europeans
The Brits eventually swept through the rest of the sub-continent

No joke, my history teacher is using this video as part of his Indian Colonization lesson. I was shocked when I saw one of my subscriptions featured in school

It's crazy how a company could take over an entire subcontinent.
