At one point, Stephen King complimented her writing on Twitter and she thanked him. Someone then asked King to state if he felt trans women are woman and his answer was "Absolutely, trans women are women." She immediately blocked him.

Now she says she doesn’t care about her legacy. Just as well, she’s become a figurehead for everything most of her fans loathe.

It’s the sheer audacity to write a book series about a child who’s always felt outcast and different and is literally kept in a closet by his family and then it turns out he’s special has magical powers and meets a group of eccentric friends who care for him more than his family ever did AND IS THEN TRANSPHOBIC! YOUR EXCLUDING YOUR OWN DAMN AUDIENCE

The irony that in her books she wrote about people fighting against Nazis who hated people for who they were whilst denying the damage the real life Nazis have done is absolutely wild.

Contrapoints said in a video that the reason people don't believe Rowling's transphobic is because people don't see transphobia as a valid concept and it makes sense as to why they're so dense when presented with evidence.

Denying history because you want to make a hateful post on twitter 🤢

JK Rowling always - ALWAYS - doubles down when criticized. She doesn't believe she can be wrong.

I'm starting to think that Rowling would happily join the Death Eaters if they targeted Trans people as well as "mudbloods".

My brain cannot comprehend how you go from retconning inclusivity and diversity into your work to denying the evils of the Nazis. How? Just how? (Also first)

She literally wrote Umbridge as one of her most hateable villains and then decided to become her

Imagine being one of the most successful writers in the 21st century, making MILLIONS out of a single franchise about a wizard fighting against the literal embodiment of evil, and then spitting out downright ignorant things like these...

She used the LGBTQIA+ Community to gain popularity when Conservatives boycotted her books, then turned against the community when the sh*t hit the fan

People deny it because they dont actually know what shes said.

For most people, their only exposure to rowlings transphobia is through news that severely downplays what it is she actually said and paints her critics as ridiculous

The balls she has to say "no" to basic gender and human rights..

I had to read an article about the danger of fake news in school recently and the article said that “jk rowling allegedly said something transphobic” and I was sitting there the rest of the lesson absolutely fuming

I never got into Harry Potter, but I feel bad for everyone who grew up with the Franchise and now have to watch its creator delve deeper down the pit.

She pledged £70, 000 to redefine the equality act and exclude trans people. I loved her books they are my chilhood. But she is a terrible person

A trans woman living in my area was stabbed two days ago in broad daylight. She's in hospital and has had to have emergency surgery. The fact that people are still claiming we aren't being discriminated against is insane.

J.K. Rowling makes me so unbearably sad and worried for my family. My little sister adores that series. One day she's going to find out about the things Rowling says, and I don't know what scares me more: the idea of my younger sister coming to realize that the author of one of her favorite series is a complete ass or that my sister loves the story and the author so much that she agrees with Rowling.
