As someone who is FTM, this just hits the medical basis, but most people really underestimate the mental and emotional effects of hormones. There's a reason that men and women tend to behave differently, and part of that is due to hormones. Anyone who's physically transition with hormones would tell you that

I’m trans, and there’s some mistakes in this video.
1:22 you can’t change bone structure with hormones, so a FTM shoulders will not broaden (unless they start hormones while their bones are still growing in puberty, rather than as an adult)
1:39 you cannot reverse a deepened voice in MTF trans unless you have surgery. Same thing with FTM with breasts (2:21). Hormones won’t reduce your breasts or change your shoulders. Any hip changes are just fat redistribution not bone changes, so yes your hips will widen or narrow from fat distribution, depending on if you’re on T or estrogen.

Wow, I never knew about this in depth, one of my trans friends told me they were gonna do hormone therapy, but I never exactly knew what that did besides stop the menstrual cycle.

I just love the idea path our society is going. Finding ways to make the you within reflect to the outside world, it always starts with "Why" at first like a seed and slowly forms into a realization of who you really are. Hello. I am in pharmacy school, but I cannot find a video about how the bod metabolizes estradiol, any anti-androgen (casodex, spiro, lupron. etc...) and Testosterone. I would also want to see sublingual (although I get the idea), intramuscular, and by mouth, if possible (thank you)


If the body metabolizes hormones like medicine such as ibuprofen, then I get it, but I just want to make sure...
