At short distance no spin technic is the more apropriate. No risk of failure.

I just got back into knife throwing after more than three decades. Was fairly good using methods and techniques learned from Gill Hibbon’s book. There was no You Tube back then. I have learned more in the past month than I knew there was to know. Problem is I now slide from one technique to another and as a result am mediocre at all of them. I watched one of your videos recently in which you caution neophytes to focus on one technique at a time. Great advice. I did three hours yesterday solely on Fedin style no-spin. What a difference. I’m finally beginning to “feel” when I get it right. Thanks for the videos👍

Military half spin is easy to learn, compared to the others, no spin is the true test of metal

I think the no- spin was the easiest and most efficient method I taught myself years ago. It feels awkward but it works.

Military half spin and conventional half both came naturally to me from watching your channel man. I watched different techniques you've provided on your channel in other videos and it was like second nature after i got them both down in about an hour flat.
Now i can throw instinctive half spin no problem!

Military half spin came very easy to me. So did no spin, underhanded backhand throw. And now I picked up military half spin on a backhand throw from the top. But half spin is really what got me sticking steel.

I've found that the conventional half spin came to me much more naturally and accuracy came to me much easier as well as control over speed. 👍

Military halfspin is the easiest for sure for all the friends newbie i tried to initiate
Conventionnal comes 2nd because at the beginning they have the bad habit to use their wrist, for military halfspin it's more instinctive to use the arm
For others throwing technique it's more necessary to know how to throw but they are more fun they hook a lot as they are challenging
